ElleVet Feline Oil is a remarkably effective product for cats, and we are proud to have conducted a long-term safety study to ensure that our product is safe for cats. We learned in our metabolic testing that cats require a higher amount of CBD + CBDA per kg than dogs, so while the oil in our feline product is the same as the oil for dogs, the administration is specific for cats. Cats respond incredibly well to our complete spectrum CBD + CBDA oil. Feline oil has a potency of 70 mg/mL CBD + CBDA.
Easy use oral syringe included in every order. You may also choose to add empty capsules to your order to make the oil more palatable and easier to administer by hiding it in a treat.

FAQs

Are there different administration instructions for different issues with cats?
The recommended 2mg/kg twice daily administration is recommended for mobility, stress, and cognitive support in most cats. Some might require a higher amount but the majority of cats respond extremely well to this amount for multiple issues. Call us if you would like to discuss your cat’s individual needs.
Can I switch from one product to another?
Yes, the active ingredient in the oil, paste, and soft gels is the same, so you can use the products interchangeably without issue. You can switch from one to another if you’re still finding the right fit, or you can use multiple products simultaneously, such as oil in the AM and paste in the PM.
How do I administer the oil?
We recommend administering ElleVet CBD + CBDA Oil at mealtime for best absorption, or placing it inside a capsule (which are free to add to your order). The Oil can also be administered directly into your pet’s mouth if you prefer. Soft Gels are a great alternative if your pet does not like the taste or smell of the oil or you find it difficult to fill the capsules.
What is the difference between dog and cat products?
All of ElleVet’s products contain the same safe and effective Complete Spectrum Proprietary Hemp Oil. The formulation of our Oil products for cats and dogs are identical, while our Feline Paste is formulated specifically for cats. Through our research, we have learned that cats need a slightly higher amount of CBD + CBDA per kg of body weight than dogs because they don’t absorb it quite as well as dogs. The administration tables on our Feline products reflect this higher amount to ensure cats get the support they need.
What is the strength / potency of your oil?
Our oil has 70mg of cannabinoids per mL of oil. Approximately 90% of those cannabinoids are CBD and CBDA and the rest are smaller but important cannabinoids. There is a full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes present in our oil.
Are there side effects of CBD?
Side effects, if any, are usually mild and infrequent. Occasionally a pet may have soft stools but this typically resolves in a few days. They may also show signs of mild sleepiness for a few days, most often because they are comfortable and able to get a restful sleep. If the oil is administered directly into the mouth, some cats may drool or gag; this is a normal response.
Are your products safe for cats with food sensitivities or allergies?
The chicken and pork ingredients in our Feline Paste are partially hydrolyzed. As always, consult with your veterinarian regarding your cat’s specific health needs. If your cat has a food sensitivity, consider using our Feline Oil or Soft Gels which can be given at mealtime.

Give orally twice daily, morning and evening, according to weight. Give at mealtime for best absorption.

How to use the syringe in 4 easy steps:
  • 1. Shake gently before use. Use weight chart to determine the amount needed. Insert provided syringe into the center of adapter.
  • 2. Flip bottle and syringe upside down and let the air pocket settle in the bottle.
  • 3. Draw syringe handle down to the amount needed. Note: do not remove syringe while the bottle is inverted.
  • 4. Flip bottle upright and hold bottle firmly in one hand while removing syringe with the other.
